Joy A.M. Frazier

Joy A.M. Frazier

A native of London, England, Joy Frazier ventured to the United States in 2003 to pursue opportunities in business and education. Backed with diplomas and degrees in Business and Finance she secured reputable positions in financial management within the nonprofit and business industries.

Among her outstanding accomplishments within her 24 years in business and finance are the following:

  • Responsible for implementing reporting on a $12 million federal grant from the Social Innovative Fund (SIF) under The Edna McConnell Clark Foundation (EMCF)
  • Forging a growing relationship with funding bodies like DCJS, DOL, HRA, DFTA and Single Stop
  • In 2012 received a Community Service Award from the 79th precinct Community Council, Inc.
  • In 2013 received a New York City Council Citation for Community Leadership.

Joy is a certified Nonprofit Accounting Professional (CNAP) and has been a Notary for 8 years. She received her BA(HONS) from North London University (England) and is a member of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA).

Joy’s senior employment positions include Senior Director of Finance at the Heritage Health & Housing Inc., Assistant Controller for Center for Employment Opportunities and The Greater Allen AME Cathedral of NY, Finance Director of Welcome Home Realty, Operational and Finance Manager for Marc Rosen Inc. and Financial Controller for Laconia Music Center, Inc.

Joy has supported and strongly participated in 500 Women In Partnership- a women’s group initiative supporting the electoral campaign of the now Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams.

Joy describes the Mehala Isadora Miller Foundation as “a place of healing, love and care.” She hopes to one day expand the Mehala Isadora Miller Foundation throughout the boroughs of New York City.
